The holidays can bring on a lot of emotion, a bit of stress, and (hopefully) some quality time with loved ones. In addition, the holidays also bring tons of jobs. Many companies are at their busiest in winter and hire additional hands for the season as a result. For anyone out of work, the upcoming job surge should be a major help.

Just this week UPS announced that it would be filling 100,000 seasonal jobs this year – many of which might transition to full time. If you’re interested, here’s how to apply.

UPS Seasonal Gigs

UPS is hiring for a few roles:

  • Package Handlers
  • Drivers
  • Driver Helpers

In addition, there are also some seasonal jobs in human resources and supervisor positions. You can find all of UPS’s open seasonal jobs here.

“We’re preparing for a record peak holiday season. The COVID-19 pandemic has made our services more important than ever,” Charlene Thomas, UPS Chief Human Resources Officer, said in a statement. “At a time when millions of Americans are looking for work, these jobs are an opportunity to start a new career with UPS.”

And many of these jobs could turn into careers, too. About a third of full-time UPS employees in America started as seasonal workers, meaning there’s a great opportunity to stay on and move up.

All seasonal employees are also eligible for UPS’s Earn and Learn program. Seasonal employees who are also students can get an additional $1,300 toward school costs.

If you don’t think UPS is the right fit for you, don’t worry! Companies will be looking to expand their seasonal staff through the holiday season, and we’ll update you as more job postings go up!
