Get Your Share Of These 6 Class Action Lawsuits This Fall

Check out this list of class action lawsuits being filed this fall and see if you qualify for any:

American Airlines

American Airlines passengers from July 13, 2013, to June 7, 2018, might be in line for a cash refund.

If you were charged checked baggage fees that were inconsistent company’s baggage fee policies at the time, you could receive a refund between $18.75 and $200 for each bag you wrongfully paid a fee on.

American Airlines will refund travelers 100% if they paid fees inconsistent with American Airlines policies. They also offer a 75% refund to those who paid fees that don’t match their confirmation email.

The deadline to submit a claim is Oct. 19.

Volkswagen, Audi

Drivers of certain Volkswagen or Audi vehicle models could receive up to $6,500. This isn’t the first time Volkswagen has made headlines for defects, but this lawsuit is related to claims that faulty timing chains led to engine damage.

American customers who owned or leased nearly 20 different models of VW and Audi vehicles qualify for the suit. Makes and models include some VW Beetles and Audi A6s.

The settlement will cover the cost of a repair. File a claim by Jan. 25, 2019 if you qualify!

Babyganics

Customers who purchased a variety of Babyganics baby care products – lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, sunblock – can qualify for this class action suit.

Class members can get a full refund with a receipt and a partial refund without proof of purchase.

You can file a claim until Oct. 29.

BP

According to this class action suit, BP solar panels sold by Home Depot are defective and can be a fire hazard. If you have BP solar panels, you’re potentially entitled to free removal and reinstallation.

You’ll need to provide information like your solar panel’s serial number on the claim form. The panels cannot be repaired, so if you qualify they’ll be taken out and replaced free of charge.

The claim was granted final approval on Dec. 22, 2016, and BP paid out $65 million, so you can submit a claim until funds run out.

Behr

Behr’s DeckOver product apparently deteriorates faster than the company advertised, so customers can file a claim for removal or repair of their deck.

Anyone who bought and used DeckOver between Sept. 1, 2012, and June 27, 2018. DeckOver was only sold at Home Depot and went for $35 a gallon.

Behr has agreed to refund any DeckOver buyers with proof of purchase and cover necessary deck repairs. The deadline is Feb. 27, 2019. Just in time to fix up your deck for spring!

GameStop

When GameStop was hacked last year, customer’s financial records were put at risk. As a result, the company agreed to pay Class Members up to $10,000 in this suit.

1.3 million credit and debit card numbers were affected by the June 2017 hack, and anyone who shopped online from August 2016 to February 2017 was at risk.

The claim form is open until Dec. 13.
