The holiday season is upon us! And this year it means real in-person festivities, lots of laughs and good times with friends and family, and oh yes…JOBS. The retail sector of the economy is projected to outpace that of last year. With higher consumer confidence, retailers are gearing up for a holiday shopping season like no other with increased seasonal hiring.
Employers are also gearing up for more in-person shopping this year and so they’re looking to hire cashiers, delivery workers, technicians…the list goes on. This is your opportunity to start a side gig to earn cash ahead of the holiday rush.
Amazon, the most popular online retailer today, is putting their money where their mouth is this holiday season. They are looking to hire about 150,000 seasonal roles, up from 100,000 from a year ago: that’s a whopping 50% increase from last year. And get this: they are offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus (if you start before 11/21/21), pay up to $22 per hour, and access to full benefits from day one with most positions. This is a sure-fire way to make sure you have plenty of cash for all those holiday expenses.
