Top Early Prime Day Deals To Score Now

This year’s Prime Day, Amazon’s annual sale event for Prime members, is happening July 12-13.

If you aren’t a Prime member, now is the time to take advantage of the free 30-day trial that Amazon offers. Just remember to turn off auto-renewal in your account settings, unless of course Amazon manages to convert you! To that end, this first promotion is designed to let you try out all the Prime offerings.

Prime Members, Earn a $10 Credit Right Now

Amazon

Amazon is running a promotion for Prime Members until July 13, where you can collect four “stamps” to earn a $10 credit. Buying something Prime-eligible that costs at least $5 is the only expense (which can definitely happen when you take advantage of the other great deals I’ve highlighted below).

Then, all you have to do is stream a show on Prime Video, listen to a song on Prime Music, and borrow an ebook on Prime Reading or Kindle Unlimited.

You can track your progress here. With the four stamps checked off, the credit will appear automatically! You must have your own Prime account, however, as beneficiaries of a Prime Household aren’t eligible.

Now let’s talk about a few hot items that will have steep discounts on Prime Day.

Echo Frames

Amazon

Get Amazon’s 2nd Gen Echo Frames in Classic Black for just $99.99 (original price was $249.99). Buying the same black frames with polarized blue mirror sun lenses costs $20 more, at $119.99.

The frames’ built-in Alexa allows you to make calls, listen to podcasts and books, set reminders and more, all hands-free! The battery supports four hours of non-stop listening and Auto Volume directs sound straight into your ears, so people around you won’t hear your phone calls (or spicy romance audiobooks).

The frames are also prescription-ready, so you can put in lenses from LensCrafters, Boomerang-lenses, or other eyewear professionals. With Echo Frames, you can put in prescription lenses so you don’t need to worry about not being able to see clearly!

JBL Flip 5 Portable Speaker

Amazon

The JBL Flip 5 (available in 13 snazzy colors) is 23% off, for $99.95 (original price was $129.95). This speaker features Bluetooth, it’s waterproof, and has a fabulous 12 hours of playtime per battery charge.

With over 47 thousand 5-star ratings on Amazon (for a 4.8 overall), it’s guaranteed to be a good pick. A top review said “the bass is undeniably superior to the Flip 4 model, and that it is stupid loud – and crisp at that.” Having listened to my cousin’s Flip 4, I have to say that the new model must be incredible to garner that sort of reaction.

A more affordable, smaller option is the JBL Go 3, which is currently 40% off for only $29.95! The attached loop allows you to hang it anywhere, making it a great choice for your shower concerts.

Insignia 32-inch Fire TV

Amazon

Insignia’s 32-inch Smart HD 720p Fire TV is on sale for a whopping 44% off, at $99.99, (original price $179.99).

This great deal is on the 2018 model, not the 2020. But to be honest, what would you need the new model for? This Fire TV supports Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, and Pandora, integrating streaming channels and live TV on a single home screen.

Why would I want another TV, you might be asking? There’s no pressure here! But at least check out the stunning list of 5-star reviews before you dismiss the idea, and you’ve got to take a look at this amusing top question: Can this TV be installed on my Harley Davidson motorcycle handlebars so I can watch movies on long road trips?

Lastly, Get More Free Money!

Amazon

All you have to do is download the Amazon Photos app (if you’re a first-time user), and upload a single photo. Yep, that’s it! With a couple of fingertips, you’ll be the proud account holder of a $20 credit within four days.

Do it before you forget because the promotional credit can only be redeemed during Prime Day, July 12-13th.

The Bottom Line

Take advantage of the products linked above if you’re too impatient to wait till Prime Day — or are worried these great deals will be sold out before then. And be sure to collect that $30 worth of credit: your wallet will thank you!
