Say Hello To This $10,000 Greeting Card Scholarship
If you’re the kind of friend that gives out awesome handmade cards on birthdays and holidays, you could earn a scholarship for your crafts.
Break out your pens and pencils and apply for The Galley Collection’s 13th Annual Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship.
Only high school and college students can apply, but the winner gets a $10,000 prize and an additional $1,000 for their school.
How To Enter The Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest
Luckily the application process is simple so you can save your time and energy to make the best card ever.
To be eligible to win, you have to submit your original greeting card and fill out a short form. Your submission can be a photo, drawing or graphic design, but it has to be your own.
Entries are limited to one per person, so spend some time brainstorming before picking your best idea.
And you’ll have a lot of time to work on it too: Applications will be accepted until March 2, 2020.
Voting, Judging and Winning
After submissions close on March 2, a panel of judges will select the 100 best entries from each month and post them to The Gallery Collection’s Facebook page, where they’ll be voted on by the public.
The final round will have 10 cards: The best 5 according to the judges and the best 5 according to the public. From the final 10, the judges will then select one winner.
According to the official rules, the judging criteria will be:
- Overall aesthetic appeal
- Quality of execution
- Creativity and Originality
- Successful incorporation of design elements
- Appropriateness for use as a greeting card
- Attractiveness to The Gallery Collection’s corporate and consumer customers
- Suitability as a design in Prudent’s Gallery Collection greeting card line
