It’s perfect for adventurous families who love social media, hanging out at state fairs, trying out all the food, and participating in carnival games. Here’s everything you need to know on how to apply and what to expect if you want to become the next State Fair Family!
How to Get Paid $15,000 as the State Fair Family
The family-friendly hotel brand is looking for its second annual State Fair Family to road trip throughout the Midwest and share the best of the best from the popular state fairs.
Expect to:
- Attend up to 3 different Midwest state fairs during the span of one week
- Travel on or about August 11 – August 18, 2023
- Document and share your adventures in real time with both photos and video
- Contribute to the future AmericInn’s “Best of the Midwest Fair Guide”
- Encourage and inspire others to visit by sharing your experience on your social media
To qualify, you should be a social media-savvy family with active accounts (TikTok and Instagram preferred) where the parents or guardians must be at least 21 years old. U.S. residents only and can drive during those travel dates above. A family consists of at least two members.
If you win, your family will get the following:
- Seven paid nights at AmericInn hotels
- $10,000 travel stipend (covers airfare, transportation, and miscellaneous travel expenses)
- $5,000 cash
- Suitcase full of AmericInn swag
- An upgrade to Wyndham Rewards® DIAMOND level membership
- Unforgettable core memories from an epic summer vacay

Prepare a short video (60 seconds) or a 300-word minimum written entry on why your family should be the next State Fair Family and what you’re excited about. Show off that family flair and your social media savviness! You’ll be asked to include where you live, a family photo, and links to any public social media accounts.
They’ll select the winning family around the week of August 2, 2023, so good luck to everyone that enters!
