Target Circle™ members, if you happen to be near a participating Target store this holiday season, you could get a free adorable Berry the Bear plush.
This is part of their Holiday Events in select Target stores, so we’ll list all the details you’ll need so you can score these cuties.

Not a Target Circle™ member yet? It’s free to join their loyalty program, and you’ll get access to automatic deals, personalized bonuses, and the ability to earn 1% back on eligible purchases. If you’re a frequent Target shopper, this free membership is valuable!
You could also get a Target Circle Card, which earns 5% off every Target purchase daily. Using the card alongside the loyalty program is unnecessary, but it definitely stacks up the savings! Since I didn’t need another credit card, I opted for the debit card version, which has the same perks, including an extended return window and free 2-day shipping on most items from Target online.
If you opt for the Mastercard credit card version, you’ll earn 2% back on dining and gas stations, 1% back on everything else, and 5% back on Target savings, all with no annual fee. The cash back is redeemed as a Target gift card, so this is truly meant for the avid Target shopper.
Note that Target Circle differs from the Target Circle 360, a paid membership.
Where & How to Get the Free Target Bears
Select stores in the following states will have the bears, and you can view the full list of stores here.
AL, AZ, AK, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, and WS.
Since the scarf and beanie bear have already been given out, you can still have a chance to collect the 3 remaining bears! Each date has various times, so double-check before you go.
How big are they? These bears are about palm-sized, in case that determines your level of effort in driving to snag one. They’re cute, though, and would be perfect for all ages as an “ornament” on the tree or a collectible.
As an external vendor is running the event, there have been reports that some stores didn’t get shipments, so I would also suggest calling ahead and asking if they’ll have the bears in stock and where the setup will be. Some have mentioned they found the giveaway near Seasonal, and some were located near Guest Services.
You’ll need to show that you’re a Target Circle member before obtaining a bear, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t already!

Photo Opps with the 9-Feet Tall Berry the Bear
For more beary holiday festivities, only nine of Target’s stores will have a 9-foot version of Berry the Bear to take a photo with. Expect a line for this!
