If you feel like you’re spending too much time glued to tech, you’re not alone.

Three out of four Americans consider themselves addicted to their phone. We also spend a whopping average of 56 hours and 42 minutes per week watching television, according to a Reviews.org report. That’s basically 17 hours more than a full work week!

We always say we’ll do a digital detox but it’s harder than it looks.

That’s why one company will pay you to get off your devices for a day.

Get Paid for a Digital Detox

Reviews.org is back with another challenge. Previously they paid participants to watch Disney movies or holiday movies, but this time you’re stepping away from all digital devices.

For 24 hours, you can’t use your:

  • Cellphone
  • Television
  • Computers/Laptop
  • Gaming consoles/handheld devices
  • Smartwatches/wearable tech
  • No smart home devices

But don’t worry, you can still use your microwave to heat up food!

If you succeed, you’ll earn $2,400 as the grand prize along with

  1. The title of “2021 Digital Detox Challenger”
  2. A safe to store your tech inside for 24 hours
  3. A $200 Amazon gift card to help you put together a tech-less survival kit
  4. A day being completely unplugged

What Will You Do?

If interested, apply for the Digital Detox Challenge here with 100 words on why you should be chosen.

The chosen participant will get to pick a day that works best for them to go tech-less. Plus, have enough time to put together their survival kit using the Amazon gift card Reviews.org will provide.

They got some suggestions:

  • Board games
  • Typewriter
  • Books/Magazines
  • Art supplies

You’ll also have to submit screentime reports to really prove you were without technology for 24 hours.

The deadline to apply is March 26, 2021, by 5 PM MST so good luck!
