She also utilized a calorie-counting app to help tie it all together. By adding in her bike and steps activity, she stayed within her calorie consumption on a daily basis. Since she was aware of her calories going in and out, she made sure to give herself treats too.

“I was learning about my body and having the lifestyle that I wanted. Can’t live on all greens all the time!”

It also became a game for her. “When I did have junk food, it was quality junk food. I wanted to make it count,” and it was something she can look forward to.
