How to Join the $2 Million Wahlburgers Pickle Settlement

Founded by brothers Paul, Mark, and Donnie Wahlberg, Wahlburgers is a casual dining burger chain launched in 2011. There are currently 90+ locations in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

A television series, Wahlburgers, debuted on A&E in 2014, aired for 10 seasons, and received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

Outside of the restaurants, they sell products ranging from burger patties to pickles, bacon, sauces, and cheese in markets. If you’ve purchased their pickles before, you could be eligible to receive a cash payment.

Wahlburgers Pickles Class Action Settlement

According to the lawsuit, the marketing statements:

  • “Fresh”
  • “All-natural”
  • “No preservatives”

were found on the Walhburger Pickles packaging, which was misleading because the products contained sodium benzoate. This is an orderless, crystalline powder preservative used in processed foods and beverages to extend shelf life.

Wahlburgers denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle for $2 million.

How to Qualify for the Class Action

You can qualify if you’ve purchased any of the following Wahlburger pickles:

  • Fresh Dill Spears
  • Fresh Dill Chips
  • Fresh Dill Chips Hot

between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2023.

The deadline to claim at the official settlement site is July 29, 2024, and the final approval hearing is scheduled for September 4, 2024. You should expect to receive your voucher(s) in winter or beyond if you submitted a valid claim.

How Much Money Can You Get in the Class Action

If you’ve purchased those pickles, you can submit and claim to receive $2 per product without proof of purchase. Claim up to six products for a maximum payment of $12 without receipts.

However, if you have the accompanying receipts, you can claim as many products as you want for full reimbursement.
