The holiday season is here and in full swing. You might even have some holiday travel plans like hopping on a plane to finally visit your family but the Omicron variant might just throw a wrench in your air travel plans.

Thankfully, Shake Shack is here to save the day with free french fries as a part of their “Can’t Fly, Have a Fry” Campaign.

Yes, we said FREE french fries!

How to Score the Free French Fries

If you’re departing out of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport between December 22nd-24th, 2021, and your flight is either delayed or canceled, you’re in luck.

All you’ll have to do is go to either of Shake Shack’s locations within Terminal 4 and show a “Fry Attendant” (yes, these are actual employees) proof of your delayed or canceled flight from your phone. And voila! You’ll be snacking on some free, crispy, french fried goodness.

Each person with a delayed or canceled flight ticket is eligible for one free order of crinkle-cut fries. So if you’re traveling as a family or with friends, you each get your own!

How To Score the Free French Fries when Traveling from Other U.S. Airports

Not all of us will be traveling through New York airports. But not to worry! You still have a chance to get some free french fries too.

If your flight is delayed or canceled at any other U.S. airport between December 22nd-24th, 2021, just snap a selfie in front of your departure gate showing that your flight was either delayed or canceled.

Then, post the photo on Instagram and tag @shakeshack. Sadly, not every person will get free french fries but the selected winners will receive a DM directly from Shake Shack with a digital voucher to redeem for free french fries at any Shake Shack location nationwide (booyah!)

How to Find Your Nearest Shake Shack

Shake Shack has over 150 locations around the country, including 14 in U.S. airports like Denver International Airport, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, New York’s Laguardia Airport, etc. Find out which Shake Shack is closest to you here!

Oh, and check out NYC-based acapella group GroundStone performing a very special Shake Shack jingle: Can’t Fly? Have a Fry!
