Tax Day Extends to April 18 After Tech Crash
Are you part of the millions of Americans that wait until actual Tax Day to file taxes?
If so, there’s good news as the IRS has extended the deadline until your local time midnight Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
This extension is due to the IRS website encountering a system outage on the busiest day of the tax year. Taxpayers don’t need to do anything extra to get the extension as it’s been granted to everyone.
You can read the official IRS notice here.
Also, take advantage of the following offers!
- Free Document Shredding at Office Max/Office Depot: Until April 28th, you can bring 5 lbs of documents to shred for free when you show this coupon.
- Blue Point Brewing Co.: If you have this brewery near you, any CPA that visits the brewery April 18-20 will get a free pint of Tax Day IPA (8.0% ABV). And if you can prove you paid taxes this year, you’ll get a free 4-pack of Tax Day IPA when you buy a 4-pack.
