Get Up to $500 in Walmart’s Latest Class Action Settlement

Walmart may owe you money in the latest $45 million Walmart Weighted Groceries Class Action Settlement. However, how much money you get depends on the number of people participating, as the settlement amount is divided.

It’s best to submit your claim as soon as possible, even if the deadline is June 5, 2024. Let’s go over the details and see if you qualify.

Does Walmart Owe You Money?

So, who qualifies to participate in the class action settlement?

Anyone who has purchased weighted goods at a Walmart retail store, supercenter, or neighborhood market in the United States and Puerto Rico from October 19, 2018, to January 19, 2024.

Weighted goods:

  • Meat & Seafood (beef, chicken, ham, pork, turkey, veal, fish, etc.)
  • Bagged citrus (mesh or plastic bagged) of navel oranges (3 lbs/5 lbs); organic oranges (3 lb); organic grapefruit (4 lb); and tangerines (2 lb)

How Much Money Could I Get?

The court needs to give final approval of the settlement, but you could get up to $500 with proof of purchase.

However, if you DON’T have proof, you can still get some money if you’ve purchased within the settlement period.

No Proof Amounts:

  • $10 if you claim you bought up to 50 weighted goods and/or bagged citrus
  • $15 if you claim you bought between 51 and 75 weighted goods and/or bagged citrus
  • $20 if you claim you bought between 76 and 100 weight goods and/or bagged citrus
  • $25 if you claim you bought 101+ weighted goods and/or bagged citrus

With Proof Amount:

  • 2% of the total cost (up to $500) of the weighted goods and/or bagged citrus

If you have proof, it can be submitted with your claim in PDF, TIF, JPG, GIF, and PNG files.
